I am sure the majority of your readers are aware that the Arka Foundation administers a residential home for people with disabilities and their families. At Dar Arka, as the home is called, the foundation also offers a wide range of other services to people with special needs.

On behalf of the clients, staff and committee, I would like to thank all the benefactors who offer donations to keep Dar Arka going. These donations have made large projects possible, like the special gym, the landscaped garden, the heated pool and new laundry equipment.

However, I feel I must take this opportunity to thank all those benefactors who remain anonymous and whom we never get to know.

A case in point is an anonymous benefactor, who recently, through a contact person, enquired about any projects currently lined up at Dar Arka.

A number of projects were presented to him and he chose to assist in the purchase of a whole range of special equipment.

The only information we have of this benefactor is that on a day important to him, July 22, he shall be donating the necessary funds into our bank account to cover the total cost of these projects.

Everybody at Dar Arka assures all benefactors and volunteers that they shall be remembered in our prayers. May God bless them all.
