ABDILLA. On June 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, VINCENT of Żurrieq, residing at Fgura, aged 77, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He is loved and remembered by his wife Yvonne, his daughters Nadia and her husband Kevin Abela and Olivia and her husband Stephen Portelli, his grandchildren Celine and Matthew, his brothers and sister, in-laws, their respective spouses, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Fgura, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at San Leone Cemetery, Żurrieq. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
ABELA. On June 13, at St Vincent de Paul residence, JOSEPH of Żejtun, residing at Santa Luċija, aged 89, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Jean, his children Tony and his wife Nadine, Vince and his wife Tanya and Marianne and her husband Anthony, his grandchildren Racquele, Katrina, Mikiel, Trevor and Mark, other relatives and numerous friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence on Thursday, June 16 at 8am for Santa Luċija parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at San Girgor Cemetery, Żejtun. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
BAJADA. On June 5, at Glebe House, Chaldon, Surrey, MARTHESE of Msida, aged 72, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters Ursola and Spencer, Sacha and Ricky, grandchildren Zack, Joel, Tilly, Jude and Louie, her sisters Vicky and Elvia, brothers Paul, Charlie, Johnnie and Joey and their spouses all in Malta. The funeral will be held on Thursday, June 16 at St Teresa’s church, Weldan Way, Merstham. A Mass for her repose will be said on June 22, at 8am at St Joseph’s parish church, Msida. Inħobbuk. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
GRECH. Peacefully, on June 11, at San Lawrenz, Gozo, PAUL LEWIS, MD, DTMH, FRCR, Consultant Radiologist, Sheffield Hospitals, aged 94. Much loved husband of Mary, father of Ellen and David, grandfather to Philip, Becky and Phiney and great-grandfather to Alex and Joe. Funeral Mass will be said today at 5pm at St George’s Basilica, Victoria, Gozo. May he rest in peace.
