BUTTIGIEG. On June 3, MARY, aged 76, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her two sons Carl and his wife Isabelle and John and his wife Lorraine, her beloved grandchildren Samwel, Elaine, Danjel, Bennard and Suzanne, family and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8.30am for San Ġwann parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. PACE. On June 2, TONINA, aged 81, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Maria Pia, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital today at 4pm for St Margaret parish church, Sannat, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 4.40pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Cemetery, Victoria. No flowers by request but donations to Friends of the Sick and the Elderly will be appreciated. RIP.
SAMMUT. On June 3, at Sir Anthony Mamo Hospital, the Lord called to himself, FR DANIEL SAMMUT, O.CARM., aged 91. He leaves to mourn his loss his sisters Josephine and her husband Alfred Flores, Rita Attard Kingswell and his brother Carmelo and his wife Helen, his brothers of the Maltese Carmelite Province, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, at noon for the Carmelite Convent, Balluta. Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at the Carmelite church at 2.00 pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request. May God grant him eternal rest.
SPITERI. On May 31, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPHINE of Marsascala, widow of Victor, aged 95, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her daughters Violet and her husband Judge Joseph Filletti, and Louise and her husband Edward Eichman, her grandchildren Stefano and his wife Alexandra, Tiziana and her husband Johann, Andrew and Peter, her great-grandchildren Roberto, Carla, Julian and Simone, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today at 2.30pm at St Lawrence parish church, Vittoriosa, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
