BAYLISS. On May 3, ROBERT ex-PC740, aged 77, from Sliema and residing in Żejtun, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Carmen, his children Joanne and her husband Joseph, and Mark Anthony, his brothers and sisters, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2pm for St Catherine parish church, Żejtun where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar Nazzareth, Żejtun will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

BONELLO. On May 2, at his residence in San Ġwann, ANTHONY, aged 59, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Dearly missed and never forgotten by his wife Edwina, his daughters Rebecca and Tiziana and their partners Neil and Etienne, his grandchildren Luca-Matteo and Giulia-Anna, his brothers Edgar-John, Peter and Paul and his sister Maria and their spouses, in-laws and their families, other relatives, friends and his carer Maria. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for Our Lady of Lourdes parish church, San Ġwann, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. GATT. On May 3, Major PETER GATT, aged 81, passed away peacefully at home comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Simon and his wife Beatrice, Blanche and Richard, Jennifer and Ron, Michael, and Caroline and her husband Richard, his grandchildren Sophie, Paul, James and Julian, his sister Clarissa and her husband Anton, in-laws, nephews and nieces, his carer Mimi, other relatives and friends. JACONO – Major NESTOR. On May 4, passed away peacefully at the age of 89. He leaves to mourn Monica, wife of the late Rene Borg Testaferrata, his cousins Rosette, Clare, Arthur, Moyra, Brian, Kathleen and their respective husbands and wives, Yvonne Sant Cassia, Anthony Curmi, Oscar Sammut, relatives abroad and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema tomorrow at 8.45am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. PEARSON. On May 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPHINE, aged 87, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her husband Alfie, her son Albert and his wife Julie, her son-in-law Charlie, her cherished grand­children Sara, Abby, Romina, Marilyn and Josianne and her great-grandchildren Nicole, Nate, Ryan, Faith and Elan, together with other relatives and friends. VELLA. On May 3, at Mount Carmel Hospital, NAZZARENA, of Siġġiewi, residing at Żebbuġ, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters Bernardette and her husband Godwin Spiteri, and Joseette and her husband Louis Farrugia, her grandchildren Daniela, Claudia, Stephanie, Desiree and Clyde and their respective husbands, fiancées and fiancé, her four great-grandchildren, her sister, her in-laws, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at St George parish church, Qormi, followed by interment at the Resurrection Cemetery, Qormi.
