AZZOPARDI. On January 15, at Mater Dei Hospital, GEMMA, née Mallia Milanes, of Marsascala, residing at Charian Residence, Marsascala, widow of Nicholas, aged 98, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children, Fr Cecil SJ, Raymond and his wife Anna, Sr Rosita, Sister of St Joseph of the Apparition, Joseph and his wife Miriam, Frank and his wife Anne, Anna, widow of Thomas Debono, and Bernard and his wife Rita, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces, other relatives, friends, and the staff and residents of Charian Residence. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 9.30am for St Anne parish church, Marsascala, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 10.15am, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. May she see God’s face and rest in His peace.
BEACOM. On January 15, Major PATRICK JOSEPH BEACOM, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Antoinette, née Vassallo Gatt, his sons Patrick and his wife Tanya, Jonathan and his wife Glorya, and Andrew, his beloved grandchildren Chloe, Rebecca, Julia, Julian and George, his sister Victoria de Domenico and his nephews Simon and Jonathan and his wife Charlene, his numerous in-laws and their children, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.30am for the Divine Mercy Sanctuary, San Pawl tat-Tarġa, Naxxar, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9am, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Little Sisters of the Poor, Ħamrun, would be appreciated. A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, assistants and cleaners at Orthopaedic Ward 1 for their professionalism, friendship and compassion. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
BUGEJA. On January 16, at St Vincent De Paul, JOHNNY, of Rabat, aged 92, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Margherita, née Swain, his sons Fr Charles, Laurence and his wife Christine, his grandchildren Aristarko and Elisabeth, his sister Mary, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Hospital tomorrow at 8am for St Paul’s collegiate church, Rabat, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family vault at the Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated.
