BORG. On October 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, (known as Il-Lyzer), of Siġġiewi, aged 60, passed away peacefully, com-forted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rose, his children Rosita, Raniero and his fiancée Rebecca. Alexander and his fiancée Diana and Christina and her fiancé Luke, his grandchildren Maia and Serina, his brothers and sisters, in-laws and their respective families, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2pm for St Sebastian parish church, Qormi, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

COURT. On September 29, peacefully in her sleep, JOYCE, died at Residenza Sant Anna, Gozo, aged 89. Her funeral shall be held tomorrow at 4pm at St Mary’s Cemetery, located between Xewkija and Xagħra. Joyce loved flowers so flowers shall be very welcome, even if their beauty cannot compare with the generosity of her heart to all she met in her eventful life. Those friends who come to show their respects are most welcome to join Robert and Monique for a drink after the service at Villa Karamoja.

FITENI. On September 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, JEAN, née Tame, aged 76, passed away suddenly but peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her dear children Pat and her husband Tony Vella, Diana and her husband Danilo Terpougoff, Tony and his wife Pim, Michael and his wife Leonora and Jody and his wife Stephanie, her dear grandchildren, great-grand-children, her brother David and his wife Barbara, other relatives and many friends. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 7, at 2.30pm at Our Lady of Lourdes parish church, San Ġwann, followed by interment at San Nikola Cemetery, Qrendi. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and other carers for their kindness and compassion during her brief stay in hospital. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MADIONA – ALBERT HOWARD, aged 87, passed away peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church to meet the Risen Christ and enjoy the fullness of eternal life in spirit. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Antoinette, née Pirotta, his daughter Anna Maria, his son Pierre Albert and his wife Sonia, his granddaughter Priscilla Ann and her husband Shaun Fenech, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today at 2pm at Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Poor Clare Sisters, Kappara, would be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

PSAILA. On September 25, at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, LINDA JUNE, widow of Joe, aged 68, passed away peacefully following a brave fight against cancer. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved brother Erik and her many friends both in Malta and UK. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 11am at the Sultana tal-Vittorji Cemetery, Mellieħa, followed by a wake in the gazebos at the Maritim Hotel, George Borg Olivier Street, Mellieħa. Only family flowers by request, with donations in lieu to Hospice Malta, Balzan. The family would like to thank all the staff on the Palliative Care Ward, Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, Hospice Malta, the wonderful nurses from M.M.D.N.A and Social Services for their unstinting help and support during a difficult and trying time.

SCICLUNA. On October 3, at her residence, MARY, of Guardamangia, aged 93, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her only daughter Rita and her husband Albert Palmier, her most beloved grandchildren Carl and his wife Charliene, née Vella Bonnici, Christopher and Andrew, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves her residence tomorrow at 9.30am for Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 10am, followed by interment in the family grave. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated.
