ALHTAB. On June 18, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, to Ahlam Mustafa and Tark, God’s precious gift of a first-born son – ALKONI. Thanks to the obstetrician, midwife Carmen Scerri, theatre staff and all the maternity staff.
VELLA. On June 15, God blessed Ashley and Christian with a precious daughter – KATERINA. Lots of love from all the family.
Marriage
Mr JAMES ELLUL, B.Com, ACCA and Miss FRANCESCA TABONE
The marriage took place on Saturday, May 18, between JAMES, son of Mr John and Ms Yvonne Ellul, and FRANCESCA, daughter of Mr Anthony and the Noble Victoria Tabone dei Baroni de Gomerino. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Charles Mallia, Ph.D., O.Carm., the groom’s uncle, at St Dominic’s church, Rabat. Witness to the groom was Mr Sandro Valentino, BE&A (Hons.), A&CE, and witness to the bride, her sister, Ms Paula Micallef. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Daniel Bugeja. The bride was attended by Miss Julia Micallef, Miss Kaye Vassallo, Ms Krista Fenech Soler and Ms Christina Galea. A reception was afterwards held at Palazzo Gomerino, the family home. The couple will spend their honeymoon in South Africa and Madagascar.

AZZOPARDI. On June 21, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY, aged 81, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Adrian and his partner Maria, and Bernardette and her husband Maximillian Sammut, her grandchildren Leonard and Geraldine, her brothers and their families, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said at Balzan parish church tomorrow at 2.30pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
CACHIA. On June 21, at Mater Dei Hospital, DOLORES of St Julian’s, aged 89, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children and their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brothers, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.30pm for Balluta parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
CAMILLERI. On June 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA, widow of Frans Camilleri, aged 75, of Mosta, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Silvio and his wife Josette, Joe and his wife Josette, Fr Emmanuel Camilleri, Carmen Camilleri and her husband Joe, Jesmond and his wife Tanya, and Marvic Bartolo and her husband Joseph, grandchildren and fiancées, her sisters Guza Camilleri (member of the MUSEUM religious society), Nena Debono, Victoria Gatt, Theresa Falzon and Angela Naudi of Canada, and their respective husbands and their families, her late husband’s family, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for Mosta parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Naxxar cemetery. Donations to the Hospice Movement will be greatly appreciated.
PRECA. On June 22, at St Catherine’s Home, Attard, ALFRED, of Birkirkara, aged 90, widower of Helen Preca, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Josephine, Doris, Fr Godwin SJ, Mary, Evelyn, Violet and Elizabeth, and their families, his brother David, relatives and friends. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2pm at St Helen’s parish church, Birkirkara. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
