Running from July 18 to 20 in the open air setting of Ta’ Liesse, in Valletta, contemporary music comes together with a touch of history for one of the main annual highlights in the island’s cultural and artistic calendar.

The Malta Jazz Contest, on July 21, is open to jazz soloists of Maltese nationality up to the age of 35. Participation is free.

Participants are required to send a CV and an mp3 recording of a number from the jazz standards repertoire or an original composition to isabelle.gatt@maltaculture.com. Deadline for submission is May 15.
