GRIMA. On Wednesday September 19, RITA widow of Carlo, residing at St Paul’s Bay, passed peacefully away at Mater Dei Hospital at the age of 83, surrounded by her loving family and comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her grandchildren Mark and his partner Joseph, Sean and his girlfriend Tiziana, their mother Maria widow of her son John and his partner Jenny, her beloved brothers and sisters, Bertu and his wife Georgia, Carmen widow of Bonaventura, Peppi and his wife Phyllis, Nena and her husband Bertu, Maria Stella widow of George, Ben and his wife Margaret residing in Australia, Charlie and his wife Carmen also residing in Australia, Mary and her husband Joseph Aquilina and Carlo and his wife Doris, nephews and nieces, great nephews and great nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday September 25, at 2.15 pm for Our Lady of Sorrows parish church, St Paul’s Bay where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.00 pm followed by interment at Ħniena Divina Cemetery, St Paul’s Bay. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan will be appreciated. The Family would like to thank the doctors and staff of wards CCU and M6 at Mater Dei Hospital for their care and dedication. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
ZAMMIT. On September 19 at Mater Dei Hospital, YVONNE of Birkirkara, aged 72, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8a.m. for St Mary, old church, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30a.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Temporary bus shelter
December 13 street is expected to open to traffic later this week, but in the meantime public transport going to Marsa will be diverted through Spencer Hill (past the former Maltacom offices) towards the Menqa roundabout junction. Buses will drop off passengers at the temporary bus stop in front of the former Maltacom exchange.
Shows cancelled
Due to ongoing restoration works at Fort St Elmo, the Malta Tourism Authority has had to cancel several future shows of In Guardia and Alarme until further notice.
