Obituary
BUTTIGIEG de PIRO. On May 29, ANTHONY, the Most Illustrious and Noble Marquis Buttigieg de Piro and Marquis de Piro, K.St.J., ERK, GCLJ(J), KMLJ, F.IoD., MIM, Commander St John Rescue Corps (Ret.), aged 79, passed away peacefully at St James Hospital, Sliema, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brother Joseph and his wife Corinne, his nieces and nephews, Victoria-Jane and Roman Krejci, David and Priscilla, Christopher Simpson, Dominic Simpson and Nicholas and Karyn Simpson, his grandnephews and grandnieces, his cousin Ray Fenech Gasan and Marie Louise, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 8.45 a.m. at Naxxar parish church, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, or Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
VELLA. On May 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, TERESA, aged 79, from Birkirkara and residing at Balzan, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Marnie and her husband Juergen, John and his wife Daniela, Suzanne and her husband Stephen, James and his wife Sonia, her grandchildren Jacques, Jaelle, Eliza, Faye, Nicolai and Andrei, her sisters, in-laws, their families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for the Annunciation parish church, Balzan, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Hospice Movement will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
