At last, Triq il-Knisja, near the Sanctuary of St Paul’s Shipwreck, in St Paul’s Bay, is going to get some lights.

This part had been without light since the official opening of the upgrading of the promenade from Il-Menqa to Tal-Għażellin. I took the opportunity to bring this to the notice of the authorities. After several attempts I managed to meet with two officials from the MTA and the contractor and was told that there was the possibility of installing some lights as there were a number of poles still available.

This was February 2012. It was hoped to have these lights for the summer but to no avail.

However, it’s better late than never. The poles are being installed and, as from this winter, the area will be lit up.

Thank you to all those who made it possible.
