Euro Media Forum, in collaboration with Eden Cinemas and Le Méridien, St Julian’s, is organising an event on the Master of Suspense to coincide with the release of Hitchcock.

Speakers will delve into how the director deftly blended sex, suspense and humour while creating a number of plot devices, most famously, the MacGuffin, to advance his intricate plots.

They will also discuss how directors such as David Lynch, Brian De Palma and Steven Spielberg have been influenced by Hitchcock. There will also be a presentation on the director’s best works including Vertigo (1958), Psycho (1960) and The Birds (1963).

Participants may take part in a quiz, the winner of which will receive two Eden cinema tickets, a bowling game for two persons and free parking.

The event will be held at Le Méridien, St Julian’s, on Monday at 6.30pm. Entrance is free. For bookings e-mail euromediaforum@gmail.com, send an SMS to 9945 4066, or visit the Euro Media Forum Facebook page.
