Award-winning Maltese rock band Airport Impressions will be the headlining act at an outdoor live concert being staged by the St Catherine Band Club of Żurrieq.

News of the concert, which will take place on August 26, was revealed last week during a press conference. Entrance to the concert will be free but donations will be collected in aid of the Puttinu Cares Foundation.

The event will also feature performances from two other local acts, namely Two Time Shooter and The Crowns.

Further to winning the last year’s Rookies Battle of the Bands, Two Time Shooter are currently enjoying increasing popularity thanks to their debut single Heather’s Rope, which is doing well in the local radio charts.

Upcoming pop rock band The Crowns is also doing well on the local scene, thanks largely to their debut single Memories, as well as the brand new dance remix of the song by popular Maltese DJ and producer Toby.

Fresh from their recent live performance in Sweden, where they performed in front of 5,000 people, Airport Impressions are expected to deliver a live set packed with their best-known songs, including the band’s latest single Retro Star from the band’s acclaimed Minutes of a Lifetime album.
