Updated Wednesday 7 a.m. - Sixty-eight migrants were brought to Malta last night after their dinghy was intercepted some 70 miles south of Delimara.

The boats were transferred to a patrol boat after the engine on their dinghy stopped.

Those on board included a baby born a few hours previously.  Another migrant was heavily pregnant. Both were given medical care.

Another two boats are being monitored by the AFM, informed sources said. A pregnant migrant was airlifted from one of them and brought to Malta earlier yesterday evening, but the migrants refused further assistance.

Another group of 102 migrants were brought to Malta yesterday morning.
