A group of 26 organisations led by Siggiewi’s parish and council this morning appealed for the restoration and conservation of Lunzjata Chapel.

The chapel was built in 1420 and is now closed because of major structural damage. It is in danger of collapse.

The appeal was made by the Siggiewi council, the Siggiewi Parish, Azzjoni Kattolika ( Women and Single Ladies’ sections), Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Siġġiewi, Għaqda Ħbieb tal-Kappelli, Għaqda Kulturali Siġġiewi, Għaqda tal-Abbatini tas-Siġġiewi, Għaqda tan-Nar San Nikola, Grupp Familji Nsara, Grupp Kariżmatiku, Grupp Solidarjetà, Grupp tal-Armar 6 ta' Diċembru, Grupp tal-Iscouts tas-Siġġiewi, Scholastic Council, PN Club Siggiewi, Kunsill Lokali taż-Żgħażagħ tas-Siġġiewi, Legion of Mary Legion of Mary - Men’s Section, Legion of Mary - Youth Section, Moviment Madonna tal-Konsagrazzjoni, Siġġiewi Basketball Club, Siġġiewi Festival Brass Band & Social Club, Siġġiewi Football Club, St Nicholas Suns Basketball Club, and Żgħażagħ Azzjoni Kattolika.
