My best holiday ever…

Travelling is one of my favourite hobbies. Each holiday I have been on was special and I still remember every bit of each one. But my best holiday ever has to be Venice.

Whoever says that Disneyland is just for kids and that adults won’t have fun is completely wrong. You must experience the beauty of it

The art, architecture and romantic feeling this gem of a place instils in you is indescribable. It’s a work of art and the fact that there are no cars makes it even more special.

I would never return to…

Maybe Madrid because it was very hectic and the people don’t speak much English. Not because I didn’t enjoy it – just because of the lack of English speaking.

The most dangerous place I’ve visited…

I have never actually visited a dangerous place, although I have been on some dangerous rollercoaster rides. I went on some rides at Disneyland and Gardaland when I thought I was about to die! But they were worth it.

My favourite city…

This year I went to two unforgettable places, Paris and Venice, and I can’t decide between the two.

They are both special in their own way. But if I had to really choose I would say Venice.

It is filled with beautiful art and Pjazza San Marco is amazing. It’s like a fairytale. I left my heart in Venice.

My most memorable experience on an aircraft…

It was on the plane that took us to Tenerife in the Canary Islands via Madrid in 2010. We had already killed four hours at Madrid airport waiting for our connection and were just a few minutes away from landing in the Canaries in the evening when the plane started climbing because the pilot could not see the runway clearly.

There was a lot of fog outside and the temperature was very low, but we were wearing summer clothes.

We were supposed to land at the north airport but had to be diverted to the southern one, which meant catching a coach that took over an hour to get back to the north airport.

My most treasured holiday souvenir…

I like to collect key-chains fromdifferent countries and add them to my keys.

My keys are always with me so I want to remember the great times I had while travelling whenever I hold them.

My biggest gaffe abroad…

Last year when I was in Madrid, I bought a red jacket. I didn’t realise that the salesgirl hadn’t removed the magnetic lock that is usually attached to clothes.

For some reason, the alarm did not go off when I left the shop, and I entered other shops and nothing happened.

In the evening, as I was packing my stuff, I realised I still had it attached to my jacket and tried breaking it but couldn’t.

Thank God I didn’t throw away the receipt and was able to go back to the shop. This time the alarm did ring as I entered. Thankfully, everything got sorted out in the end.

The friendliest people…

The people in Venice were surprisingly quite nice, but the friendliest people were in Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Since we were a good group of artists from different parts of the world, they treated us really well. We were like stars.

I never travel without...

I don’t have a particular thing that I always carry with me. I’m not the type of person to take my laptop on holiday. It’s either a holiday or it isn’t.

The taxi ride I will never forget…

It has to be the one in the Canary Islands. After the hassle of going from the south airport back to the north airport where we actually intended to land, we had to catch a taxi.

To date I have never actually visited a dangerous place, although I have been on some dangerous rollercoaster rides

We were wet with the rain, cold in our summer clothes, tired after a full day of travelling, and the taxi drivers didn’t speak or understand English. Somehow we managed to get to our hotel.

My all-time favourite holiday photo...

A photo of the Eiffel Tower. Seeing it standing there so tall in front of me and lit up with shimmering lights in the evening made me feel so happy I was about to cry.

It was so special that I couldn’t believe I was actually standing next to it. It was breathtaking.

An unforgettable hotel...

Generally, all the hotels I have stayed in have been good.

In Paris we stayed in a hostel. I had never been to one before and it was an experience, but I don’t regret it.

I return most often to...

So far I never returned to a place. But if I had the opportunity I would go back to Disneyland.

In fact, I wrote a song about Mickey Mouse, which is the fourth single on my album coming out this year. The song is called Hey Mr Mickey Mouse.

Disneyland was magical. The rides were outrageous and no other words can describe them.

Whoever says that Disneyland is just for kids and that adults won’t have fun is completely wrong.

You must experience the beautyof it.

My ideal travel companion...

I’ve been blessed with great company on my trips, from my partner to my friends. If I could do them all over again, I would.

Country with the best cuisine...

It is so difficult to say! There are so many. Those who know me know that I don’t eat a lot. But for some reason when I go abroad, my appetite increases.

The Canary Islands had some really particular food. Paris and Disneyland were also amazing (the best Margherita pizza in the world has to be in Disneyland).

Venice, on the other hand, was high-class. That’s the beauty of travelling: you get to taste different foods and experience differentcultures.

My next holiday plans…

London. I have actually never been to London, so it is scheduled to be my next holiday next year.

I’m really excited and lookingforward to the trip.

My dream trip…

I don’t have a particular dream trip. At the moment London andScotland are on my mind.

I partied hardest in…

I don’t party hard when I’m away. I don’t want to spend the next day sleeping or being sick due to late night clubbing or drinking. I want to see every spot of the country I am in.

My travel tip

Don’t be afraid of experiencing new things and new places. Just go for it and enjoy every second.

If you have never been abroad or are scared of flying, don’t be, you must try it.

And like they say: Once you pop, you can’t stop!
