The Employment Aid Pro-gramme for Gozo was allocated an additional €2 million, according to Parliamentary Secretary for EU funds Ian Borg.

Speaking during a visit to the offices of the Employment and Training Corporation in Ħal Far, Dr Borg said the money will extend the help for Gozo to overcome the challenges within its employment sector.

This new scheme will be launched mid-October and will remain open until the end of this year. Around 300 individuals are expected to benefit from the funds.

The Employment Aid Programme gives the required assistance to employers in the creation of more job opportunities for people who, in one way or another, are at a disadvantage compared to the rest of society.
