Driving behind a garbage collection truck in Wileġ Street, Paceville, one afternoon I was disgusted to notice how irresponsible and careless some of the people who make a good living from the area are. They dump their waste on the pavement in black plastic bags, most of which were left open or leaking liquid. Cardboard boxes were thrown on top of the pile for the wind to blow them in any direction making the area more unsightly and untidy than it is already.
All it takes is a few seconds to seal the bags (and if need be, use double bags) and flat pack the cardboard.
Forget the Paceville master plan until they first get the basics right as one cannot believe why people who should be proud of their locality turn it into a pigsty. Or is it perhaps because the service is free, so one feels one can abuse it?
