Nicole Kidman, Penélope Cruz and Lupita Nyong’o have posed for the 2017 Pirelli Calendar, which features a host of Hollywood’s biggest names.

This year, the Italian tyre brand recruited German fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh, who has previously contributed to the 1996 and 2002 editions, to shoot 15 of Hollywood’s hottest stars.

Although the calendar was once known for its barely-dressed models in exotic locations, previews of Lindbergh’s work in the 44th calendar for the brand show a diverse group of women looking more natural and graceful – but no less sexy.

Talent is more important than a great body: Nicole Kidman is one of the big names posing for the calendar.

The likes of Uma Thurman, Kate Winslet and House of Cards actress Robin Wright are also among the 15 stars who appear in the calendar.

Other film greats featured include Alicia Vikander and Helen Mirren, with the photos taken in Berlin, London, Los Angeles, Le Touquet and New York.

The first Pirelli Calendar was published in 1963, and the publication has since featured many of cinema’s best known performers.

The 2017 edition will be unveiled at the end of November.
