Alvaro Morata... crucial goals for Juventus in Europe.Alvaro Morata... crucial goals for Juventus in Europe.

Juventus forward Alvaro Morata would like nothing more than to transfer his goalscoring form in Europe to Serie A in a bid to help the team get their title defence on track.

The Spaniard, who scored Juve’s first goal in their 2-0 win over Sevilla in midweek, has hit the back of the net in five consecutive games in Europe’s elite competition dating back to last season but has yet to score on the domestic front.

The Turin club will be hoping he is on target tomorrow when they host Bologna.

“I don’t want to stop here,” Morata told the Italian media after the victory over Sevilla.

“I want to keep working hard to help the team win and to score more goals. We haven’t started the (Serie A) season well, but Juve will be back. Personally, I just want to work harder in order to start scoring also in the league.”

Juventus lost 2-1 at Napoli last weekend to fall to 15th in the standings.

Inter, having seen their perfect start to the campaign halted last weekend in a 4-1 defeat to Fiorentina at the San Siro, travel to Genoa to face Sampdoria.

The Nerazzurri are second in the standings, level on 15 points with league leaders Fiorentina.

Inter will be without their top scorer Stevan Jovetic, who is out with a hamstring injury, while defender Miranda is suspended.

Fiorentina host Atalanta in tomorrow’s late kick-off.

The Viola followed their impressive performance in Milan with Thursday’s 4-0 triumph over Belenenses in Lisbon in the Europa League.

Napoli, who won 2-0 at Legia Warsaw to remain perfect in the Europa League, travel to the San Siro to face Milan, also tomorrow night.

Both sides are level on nine points.

Roma will try to bounce back from Tuesday’s 3-2 defeat at BATE Borisov in the Champions League when they travel to Sicily to face Palermo.

The Giallorossi, having overwhelmed Carpi 5-1 last Saturday, are still without injured trio Seydou Keita, Francesco Totti and Edin Dzeko.

Carpi, without a Serie A victory, sacked coach Fabrizio Castori after the heavy loss to Roma and appointed Giuseppe Sannino as his replacement. His first game in charge will be at home to Torino this evening.

Torino are third in the standings after winning four and losing just one of their opening six games.

Fifth-placed Lazio play at home to league newcomers Frosinone this weekend looking to make it three wins in a row and keep the pace with the front-runners in the championship.

The Biancoceleste will have an extra bounce in their step after winning 3-2 at home over France’s St Etienne in Thursday’s Europa League.

Empoli will not have Riccardo Saponara when they host fourth-placed Sassuolo as the midfielder has to start serving a three-match ban.

Saponara was sent off for dissent in last weekend’s 2-0 defeat to Frosinone. Sassuolo are the only unbeaten side in Italy’s top flight.

Verona go in search of their first win when they visit city rivals Chievo in today’s late match.

So far, Verona have three draws this season.

Udinese are coming off a 2-1 win at Bologna last weekend, a result that halted a four-match losing run in Serie A.

They host a Genoa side that have failed to take a point in their last three away games.
