The Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice has said it wants leaders working with adolescents and young persons to deal with current issues in an interesting way.
The centre is publishing a manual of 10 sessions in Maltese called X’Jimpurtani to deal with the social justice issues of poverty, racism, immigration, politics, fair trade, the environment, the impact of the media, work, war and peace.
The manual will be launched at a non-residential training seminar which includes exercises, videos, music, power point presentations and moments of prayer.
The manual is based on the principles of the Catholic social teaching but can be adaptable to all groups. The main aim is to help young people grow into responsible and socially conscious citizens.
This seminar will be held on October 23 and 24 at the Seminary in Rabat. More information and details about the manual and the seminar can be obtained from the website: www.xjimpurtani.jesuit.org.mt. One can also send an e-mail on: cfj@jesuit.org.mt
