The Richmond Foundation has been awarded the European Parliament’s Citizen’s Prize for 2015 in a ceremony hosted by the European Parliament Office in Valletta. The organisation was jointly nominated for this year’s prize by all six Maltese MEPs.

The Richmond Foundation is a leading local NGO which provides community services for persons with mental health difficulties.

Foundation chairman Victor Guillaumier said: “It is momentous to see the Richmond Foundation’s efforts during the past 21 years being rewarded by the European Parliament.”

He lauded the immense contribution of all the staff and volunteers whose dedication, he said, a key driver for the organisation.
