When are we going to finally get a good bus service?

I’m really fed up of hearing people complaining about the buses. They talk about malfunctioning air conditioners, others that leak onto the seats and people left to wait on the bus stop for more than an hour and a half with no bus turning up and with the consequence that these people have to call home for someone to pick them up.

This is ridiculous. We were okay when the old buses were here, they came nearly on time and were frequent. People knew that they would board a bus and get to their appointment on time.

There is so much hassle now involved in catching a bus, not knowing what time it will come, if it at all, and exactly what route it will take. One bus uses one route and another with the same number uses another, with no explanation or notice to the public. What have we come to?

We can’t tell tourists that a certain bus is definitely going to the place they want to get to without being concerned that they will never make it there.

If the AC is not working, why not keep the doors and windows open, so we can breathe? If it is working, why not keep it at an adequately cool temperature?

Think about it. We would use public transport if it were good and efficient and nobody would be obliged to buy a private car to make it to their destination.

Action needs to be taken on these complaints.
