A joint workshop of Etihad Airways and Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Abu Dhabi was organised by Aviation Online for Maltese travel agents at the Cavalieri Art Hotel in St Julian’s.

The presentation started with Nasir Al Ansaari, graduate manager, offline sales – Europe, who gave details of Etihad’s traditions of hospitality, unparalleled comfort and service and its contemporary living spaces in the air.

A brief description of the Etihad Airways fleet, seating designs and facilities, in-flight dining and entertainment offered in all cabins was highly educational to the agents, who were impressed with The Residence (a three-room suite in the sky) and First Apartment, available on Etihad’s A380.

Mr Al Ansaari was followed by a presentation, given by Dora Paradies, Italy country manager for TCA Abu Dhabi, who spoke about Abu Dhabi and what it has to offer the tourist.

A brief Emirati history was given, together with a vivid description of Abu Dhabi’s city attractions, its stunning Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and an interesting explanation of the Emirate’s diversity.

The presentation was well received by the guests and the evening continued with a lavish reception.
