Around 250 former employees of Barclays Bank and Mid-Med Bank gathered for a reunion at The Victoria Hotel in Sliema.

This was the first such event to be organised and it started with Mass, held for the repose of departed colleagues, which was celebrated at the Shakespeare Suite of the hotel. A reception followed on the Victoria’s rooftop, by the pool.

Some of those attending came from as far afield as Canada, Australia, France and the UK. Former colleagues were reunited after a lapse of 30 or even 40 years. Many a happy memory of times past and cherished colleagues were rekindled.

A donation was made to Mother Superior Magdalene Cauchi for the Ursuline Creche, Angela House, Guardamangia.
