I would like to congratulate the Nationalist Party, led by Simon Busuttil, for the positive result obtained in the recently held local council elections. Narrowing the margin by half was indeed no mean feat.
In spite of the message coming from the Labour Party camp, this was indeed a huge step forward, indicating that the Nationalist Party is indeed on the right track and is succeeding in maintaining its promise to regenerate itself.
The result is also in part attributable to the sterling work carried out by the PN candidates’ selection committee led by former European Commissioner Joe Borg.
At the risk of sounding cliché, Dr Borg and his team members have yet again proven that actions speak louder than words, and that there are many valuable individuals within the Nationalist Party who have always been more about doing their job rather than bragging about it.
Well done indeed!
