Holders Balzan FC and current Premier Division leaders Luxol progressed to the final of the KO competition after outclassing Valletta and Qormi, respectively, in the semi-finals at Corradino.
Serbian Slobodan Janjic was three times on the mark as Balzan beat Valletta 10-2.
It was a great performance by Balzan who added more goals from Mark Zammit, Frane Despotovic and Glenn Bonello who scored a double each. The other scorer for Balzan was Karl Azzopardi.
Valletta’s goals came from Javier Montes Burgos and Shawn Vella.
The other semi-final was another one-sided affair as Luxol beat Qormi 6-0.
William Barbosa, Florin Anton and Dale Camilleri each netted a brace for Luxol to book a place in the final which will be played on April 30.
In the First Division, leaders Lija continued with their fine form of late after trouncing Sirens 6-0.
Nicola del Re (2), Jean Bert Gatt, Mark Mizzi, Aleksandar Ribic and Zeljko Anicic put their names on the scoresheet for Lija as second-placed Mellieħa returned to winning ways with a 5-1 win over Luqa St Andrew’s.
Radoslav Kovachev (2), Nikolay Filipov (2) and Daniel Saliba hit the target for the northerners.
Naxxar Lions made sure of a play-off spot after beating Mqabba 3-2 while Msida grabbed their third win in a row after beating Siġġiewi 11-4.
