AXISA. On March 16, CARMELINA, née Attard, widow of Eddie, passed away peacefully in her 97th year, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her daughter Mary and her husband Ray Runza, her grandson Robert and his wife Anita and her great-grandchildren Nicky and Jay Jay, her sisters-in-law Helma, Emily and Josephine Attard and Joyce Abela, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends, also her loving and dedicated carer Grace. BARON – MARY GRACE of Żabbar, passed away on February 27 after a long illness. Daughter of Carmel Baron and Antonia (Nina) Lia, Mary Grace emigrated to Detroit, USA in 1954. She earned her PhD in Psychology and became Professor Emerita at Wheaton College, Massachusetts. She returned to Malta often and maintained lifelong bonds with family and neighbours there. Predeceased by her brother Charles and sister Joanne as well as, very recently, by her husband Geoffrey Moran. She is survived by her son Andrew, her step-sons Matthew and Sean, her granddaughter Merrimac, her sisters Josephine and Rosemary, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in USA and Malta. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
CREMONA. On March 17, at Mater Dei Hospital, DAVID PATRICK, aged 76, passed away peacefully. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.45pm for Msida parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.Lord, grant him eternal rest.
GERMAN. On March 18, at Loyola House, Naxxar, Fr GEORGE GERMAN, SJ, aged 95, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brethren in the Society of Jesus in Malta, Uganda and Kenya, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow at 8.30am at Loyola House, Naxxar, followed by interment at the parish cemetery in Naxxar.
