CHIRCOP. On February 4, at her residence, DEIRDRE of Sta Venera, widow of Walter and mother of the late Justin, aged 67,went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by rites of Holy Church. Greatly missed by her son Alex and his wife Michelle, her daughter-in-law Isabel, her beloved grandchildren Emily, Bethany and Sarah. She will be missed by her sisters and brother, Betty, Valerie, Marie and George, her husband’s families and her many nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for the new parish church of Sta Venera, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to the Ursuline Sisters, Guardamangia, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MICALLEF ST JOHN. On Feb­ruary 4, at Mater Dei Hospital, JACQUELINE (Jackie), née Zammit, aged 43, went to meet the Risen Lord and her dear son Luke, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her loving husband Keith, her dear son Andrew, her parents Alfonse and Antonia, her brother Robert and sister Geraldine, also her in-laws Joan and Edward, and sister-in-law Alexia and husband Giuseppe Ferraro. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated today at 2pm at St Gregory parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

PIZZUTO. On February 6, at Pax et Bonum Home, Mosta, ELIZABETH (Bessie), née Hili, of Msida, at the venerable age of 96, went to meet the Risen Christ, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Anton and his wife Monica, Marilyn and her husband Ray Mangion, Paul and his wife Tessie, living in Australia, her grandchildren Konrad and his wife Ruth, Katya Ann and her husband Mark Agius, Michael, Arlette and Angele, her great-grandchildren Ethan, Aidan, Luke, Leah, Elena and Carolina, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow at 2pm at St Joseph parish church, Msida, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to the Franciscan nuns at Pax et Bonum Home will be appreciated. The family would like to thank Sister Maria and Sister Nicoletta and all the staff at Pax et Bonum for their dedication. TABONE ADAMI. On February 5, CLORINDA of Sliema, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Fr Frank of Brazil, Joe and his wife Mary Anne, Georgina and her husband Anthony Schembri Adami, Pauline, wife of Henry Alamango, her nieces and nephews and their respective spouses and families, and partners, other relatives and friends. VELLA. On February 5, MARIA of Mellieħa, widow of Frans Vella Borg (tal-Blu), aged 76, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children Twanny and his wife Irena, Victor and his wife Marisa, Marisa and her husband Victor, Lino and his wife Marie Claire, and Ivan and his wife Jessica, her grandchildren Daniel and Tanya, Eder, Laura, Francesca, Diana, Carolina, Paula and Clara, her sisters Suor Rosaria of the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Rita, Christine, Joan and her family, her brother Toni and his family, her in-laws and their respective families, her cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2pm for Maria Bambina parish church, Mellieħa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment at the Sultana tal-Vittorji Cemetery, Mellieħa. XUEREB. On February 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPHINE of Marsa and residing in Fleur-de-Lys, Birkirkara, aged 83, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband Emmanuel, her children Mariella, Dione, Ruth, Marco and his wife Mariella and Natalino and his wife Amy, her brother and sisters, grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow at 8.30am at St Helen Basilica, Birkirkara, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
