Melita said today it was offering additional TV channels to its customers as a good will gesture after they suffered service difficulties. It said that while service levels are restored to normal, it is offering free viewing of three top tier TV channels to all digital and HD TV customers: ITV Choice, Disney Junior and AXN channels.

The channels are available on all subscription tiers until February 4, and thereafter different channels will be added for periodic free viewing until September.

During the free viewing period, each station will have a special channel number: ITV Choice (Channel 750), Disney Junior (Channel 751) and AXN (Channel 752).

Last November, Melita started a free viewing period for FOX, FOX Life and Nick Junior channels for all Melita digital and HD TV customers. The free viewing period of these channels is over and has now been replaced by the free viewing of ITV Choice, Disney Junior and AXN channels. FOX Life and Nick Junior were added to the Melita TV L package while FOX was added to the Melita TV XL package all at no extra cost for subscribers.

Malita said that as announced last October, its contact centre experienced higher than usual incoming call traffic volume following a system upgrade which caused certain administrative processes to take longer than usual. The situation was gradually returning to normal.

Apart from the free viewing Melita is offering free access to a number of services until September 2015 including melitaWIFI, melita TV Everywhere and melitaWIFI Travel.

In addition to increasing personnel in its call centre and other customer contact points, Melita said it has developed a web contact form accessible online via www.melita.com/contactus to facilitate customer service.
