BARON. On December 17, JOSEPH, of Senglea, aged 91, member of the MUSEUM, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sister Doris, wife of the late Joseph Venturi, and his brother John, his nieces Monica and her husband Brian Harris and Josephine and her husband Joe Schembri, their children Naomi and her husband Jonathan Wilson, Rosina, Marisa and her partner Oliver, Samuel, Simone and Stephanie, their children Joseph and Isaac, other relatives and friends, among them the members of the MUSEUM Society. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9.15am for the Basilica of Our Lady of Victories, Senglea, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 10am, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar Ħanin Sammaritan, Santa Venera, will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant him eternal rest.

CUSCHIERI. On December 18, on her 68th birthday, Sr DOREEN, Provincial of the Sisters of St Dorothy and headmistress of St Dorothy’s Senior School, Żebbuġ, passed away peacefully and went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, after a brief illness borne with great Christian spirit. She leaves to mourn her sad loss the congregation of the Sisters of St Dorothy, her sister Marguerite and her husband Francis Padovani Ginies, her nephew Mark and niece Cristina, and the staff and students of the Senior School. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2pm for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm. followed by interment at the Addolorata Cemetery.

FELICE. On December 18, at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Centre, HELENE aged 80, went to meet the Risen Lord. She will always be loved and remembered by her beloved husband Anton, her devoted children John and his wife Ethel, Anna and her husband Ulrik, and Vikki and her husband Adriano, her grandchildren Gabriel, Elena, Stephanie, Philip and Ben, her brothers Walter and his wife Marcelle and George and JoAnn, her in-laws Alfred and his wife Isabelle, Evelyn, her nephews, nieces, relatives and all her friends. The funeral cortège leaves St Luke’s Hospital tomorrow for Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Paceville, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.

FERRY. On December 18, after being well cared for at Mater Dei Hospital for a short while, JOSEPHINE (Jo), a few days short of her 82nd birthday, passed into eternal rest comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the four children she worked so hard for, Mark, Moira and her husband Philip Rizzo, Martin and his wife Lucienne and Michael, her grandchildren Edward, Rebecca, Stephanie and Mariah Ferry and much-loved Philippa Rizzo, her sister Tessie Dimech, her brother Albert and his wife Mabel Dimech, Ferry and Dimech, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 8am at St Joseph parish church, Msida. She will be remembered by the communities of Msida and Ta’ Xbiex for having always provided a helping hand to all in need of support.

PACE. On December 18, MARY, née Gatt, widow of Lino, aged 85, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children Anna and her husband Simon Bugeja, Maryrose and her husband Stephen Buhagiar, Jonathan and his wife Gail of Australia, her brother Joe Gatt, her sisters Doris Gatt and Pauline Sciberras, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Luke’s Hospital today at 1.45pm. Mass will be celebrated at St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, at 2.15 pm.

PORTANIER. Suddenly, on December 16, at her residence in Swieqi, SUSAN, aged 52, passed away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her father Victor, her sister Ruth, nephew Luke, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today for the Immaculate Conception parish church, Tal-Ibraġ, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

NAUDI. Cherished and unfading memories of a very beloved mother and grandmother, MARY, today the 28th anniversary of her passing away. Fondly remembered by her children Marlene and Anton, in-laws, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Today’s 6.45pm Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel church, Paceville, will be offered for the repose of her soul. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to participate in this Mass and remember her in your daily prayers.
