Vodafone opened its first Destination Store on the Birkirkara Bypass, part of a global initiative to deliver a better customer experience in all their retail outlets. The store has its own parking facilities.
The starting point for the development of the Destination Store concept was extensive research into customer expectations. All Vodafone outlets across the world are gradually being transformed in line with the results of this research.

Shireburn starts electronic payments
Users of the Shireburn Financial Manager are now able to electronically process euro payments to their local and eurozone suppliers without the need to print cheques or effect manual bank transfers.
The move away from cheque payments towards electronic payments ensures a faster, cheaper and more secure, fully audited and authorised payment process.
The Shireburn SEPA module supports payments through Bank of Valletta, HSBC Bank Malta, Banif Bank, Lombard Bank Malta and APS.

Go adds channels to TV Anywhere
Go has added 35 channels – including Go Stars and Go Stars HD – to its TV Anywhere service, bringing the total number to more than 65. The new channels cover sports, news, entertainment, knowledge and lifestyle.
The service enables interactive TV subscribers to watch live TV on their smartphones and tablets. TV Anywhere is accessible from any Wi-Fi area, whether indoors or outdoors, or Go’s mobile internet service.

Thomas Smith partners with Rhenus
Thomas Smith has concluded a partnership with one of Europe’s leading logistics service company, Rhenus Logistics.
Rhenus boasts years of experience and a presence in more than 390 locations worldwide. The company handles various types of freight with 7,000 trucks on the road every day.
Through the agreement, Thomas Smith can now provide a major service upgrade, which also includes a consignment tracking system.
Mainland European hubs are linked to hubs in Milan, where the cargo – be it from Italy or any other location in Europe, Far East or North America – is consolidated and loaded onto the Malta-destined consolidated trailer.
