The Alfred Mizzi Foundation has donated €3,000 towards the urgently required repairs of Inspire’s Animal Park in Marsascala.

The park was recently the victim of acts of vandalism.

Established by Alf. Mizzi & Sons Ltd in 2004, The Alfred Mizzi Foundation aims to promote Maltese heritage, education and social solidarity.

“Following last week’s act of vandalism on the park, this donation will go a long way in helping us restore it. It will also go towards daily operations and the funds required to keep the park up and running,” park manager Giovanna Bartolo Mirabile said.

The park covers five tumoli of land and is home to a wide array of abandoned or adopted animals ranging from goats to emus, from rabbits to owls, and from ducks to sheep.

It provides children with disabilities and public a petting and feeding experience.
