The number of persons who were registered or naturalised as Maltese citizens in the first five months of this year amounted to  541 and 74 respectively, Home Affairs Minister Manuel Mallia told Jason Azzopardi (PN) in reply to a parliamentary question.

They included 192 who married Maltese.

In all 275 were men and 340 were women. (They did not include migrants granted humanitarian status, unless they married).
