The Consumers’ Association has called on the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs and Malta Resources authorities to investigate Enemalta’s behaviour for the damages suffered by consumers in view of the Auditor General’s report on oil procurement.

It said that the aspect of the damages consumers could have suffered was not being given suitable attention by the authorities.

The association said it was preoccupying that none of the authorities that were there to safeguard the interests of consumers had said anything on the matter and rather than open an investigation on their own account, one had to be requested by the association.
