Malta Climbing Club president Simon Alden and member Kyle Bonnici will attend an international seacliff climbing meeting in Cornwall.

The meeting, hosted by the British Mountaineering Council, will run from May 12 to 19.

Climbers from 20 different countries will be taking part in this meeting which will feature traditional climbing on some of the spectacular and picturesque seacliffs in the area.

During the event, Alden and Bonnici will give a presentation about the rock climbing possibilities the Maltese islands have to offer.

“Climbing is a fast-developing practice which could play an important role in our tourism sector during the winter months when climbing outdoors is not possible in most of Europe because of the cold weather,” a Malta Climbing Club statement said.
