Team AWDC Malta will be back in action this week as they seek to leave their mark at the demanding Croatia Trophy at the Staro Selo Topusko base.

The off-road race gets underway today with the prologue which determines the starting grid for tomorrow’s opening stages.

The hardest day of the event will be Saturday as teams will race in the morning Trophy race before resuming their challenge in the Night Stage.

This year, Team AWDC Malta will be represented by Coleiro Race with their modified Jeep, driven by Croatia Trophy veteran Kenneth Coleiro, in his third successive participation, and off-roader Neville Ciantar.

Ciappella Racing (Revolver Buggy) will have Adrian Bezzina and John Zammit at the helm. This will be their second appearance in the Trophy.

The other Maltese team in the competition are Kamoy Engineering with their Kamoy Buggy, driven by Stefan Mallia and Alistair Caruana.

All members of the three Maltese entries took part in last year’s Croatia Trophy. They will be supported by an all-Maltese crew.

This year’s Croatia Trophy has an entry list of 98 vehicles in three classes, Trophy, Adventure and ATV. The Maltese off roaders are bracketed in the Trophy class which will be contested by 50 teams.
