Award-winning emerging fashion designer Sef Farrugia recently presented her second capsule collection entitled Casa Azul at Runway Malta.

The Casa Azul collection for spring/summer 2013 was inspired by a mixture of influences from Frida Kahlo’s poetry, her home and her paint-ing roots, to Mdina Glass blowing patterns and colours and a hint of comedian Carmen Miranda’s dominant Latin appeal.

A strong aesthetic look combined with divine tones of blues, greens and pinks make this collection hard not to look at and get fascinated by the thousands of hand cut, hand-sewn organza flowers.

The collection features a fusion of organic geometric prints mixed with knitwear made out of lurex, cottons and viscose.
