Curia announces events ahead of Episcopal Ordination
Mgr Scicluna is welcomed on a visit to Malta last month.
The Curia has issued a programme of activities to be held ahead of the Episcopal Ordination of Mgr Charles J. Scicluna, Auxiliary Bishop of Malta.
The programme kicks off on Tuesday at St Sebastian parish church in Qormi, where Mgr Scicluna spent his childhood. At 5.30 p.m. there will be a celebration for children followed by Mass of the Holy Spirit at 6.30 p.m.
The events on Wednesday move to Lija (where Mgr Scicluna's family has lived since 1976) Mass will be held at 6.30 p.m.
On Thursday, ceremony will be held at the Cathedral in Mdina where Mgr Scicluna will become a member of the Cathedral Chapter. At 6.45 p.m. Archbishop Paul Cremona will lead a prayer vigil. The Apostolic Nuncio will bless Mgr Scicluna's episcopal insignia.
The Episcopal Ordination will be held in the morning of November 24 at St John's Co-Cathedral.

All the very best wishes to Mgr. Scicluna , who , I believe , will be Malta's representative at the next Papal Conclave, as Malta's FIRST fully-fledged Cardinal !
He will , in my belief, be the first Maltese Papal "contestant" ! Awguri Mons . Scicluna

Congratulations! But could someone explain to me what exactly his new role is?All this when Jesus was born in a manger and lived amongst the poor for the poor. Let's just see all that gold coming out in these ceremonies!
