Youths to be interviewed on The Zone
Video interviews of youths talking about their careers, talents, social life and fashion are being featured on a new youth section The Zone at www.timesofmalta.com/thezone. Tomorrow two new interviews will be uploaded on the following youths.
Daniel Fenech, athlete.
Daniel Fenech is the epitome of the Latin quote, Mens sana in corpore sano (A sound mind in a healthy body). A young and promising athlete, Fenech is also a student reading medicine. He believes that the more you take on in life, the more organised you become with managing your own success.
Being dedicated to athletics doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your social life, or future plans, whatever they may be. The more you work out and keep your body healthy the better you will perform in your mental work.
Watch Fenech on The Zone tomorrow and see how he manages to fit hard work on the track at University and still allow himself to party a little.
Marcon Caruana, jewellery maker.
“Vintage, steampunk and charms jewellery” is what Marcon Caruana calls her own creations. Her jewellery work incorporates shabby chic with vintage glam.
Caruana’s business edge? Her dedication to using fair trade products and old dismantled items.
See how this girl from Mellieħa channels her passion into an intricate work of handcrafted jewellery, which feature loads of detail, symbolism and that bit of antiqueness that is rare to find today. Watch Caruana’s video tomorrow on The Zone.
Get heard and share your own experiences with others. Tell them about your career choice, what it takes to get where you are, the ups and downs you experience, and offer advice to those who are still uncertain about what they want to do in the future.
To be interviewed for The Zone, send an e-mail with a brief description of your career, talent, or a social issue you would like to discuss.
Alternatively, you can send your own video. Send a low-resolution version of your file to email@example.com.
