A collective agreement for Arriva drivers was signed this morning by the company and the General Workers Union. It is the first collective agreement public transport workers in Malta have ever had.
The agreement, which covers better working conditions, follows months of discussion including four meetings, two in Gozo, during which workers were given detailed information of what the agreement includes.
It was approved by 94.7 per cent of the workers who are members of the union in a secret vote.
