A man who carried out two hold-ups yesterday is already behind bars.

The 25-year-old of Mosta admitted to the hold-ups within 90 minutes of each other at Krayon Stationery in Mosta and Tik Tik Confectionery in Paola.

He also admitted carrying a knife without a police permit.

A total of less than €300 was stolen and no one was injured.

He was reportedly tracked down after the police found his motorcycle in Paola.

He was jailed for two years.
