I would like to urge the department concerned and the NGOs to spend some time checking out our valuable chapels.

This is the chapel of Sta Margerita in Burmarrad. The photos show the tree in front of the chapel in 2005 and as it is now. It will grow even bigger.

Whoever planted it as a baby tree didn’t realise it would grow and mask the chapel. It needs to be removed from there first of all to let the public enjoy the chapel and, secondly, because its roots may damage the foundations of the chapel. And while they’re at it, how about removing those ugly wires?

Protect and preserve our chapels; they will last longer if they are cared for.
