The Department of Information will present a documentary on poet Dun Karm Psaila at Notte Bianca on Saturday.

The documentary has been produced by Paul Azzopardi and Paul Galea and features an analysis by Prof Oliver Friggieri on the man behind the poet.

The documentary celebrates the 140th year since the birth of Dun Karm and includes rare colour footage, including a part where the national poet reads one of his own poems.

Dun Karm lived between 1871 and 1961 and is credited with putting the Maltese language on a new literary plane.

The documentary will be screened at the Aula Magna (Old University Building).
