Lilian Azzopardi and Anthony Serracino Inglott, from the University’s Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, were recently presented with this year’s prestigious International Association for Pharmaceutical Technology (APV) awards.

The honour was bestowed in recognition of their contribution towards the success of the Seventh World Meeting on pharmaceutics, biopharmaceutics and pharmaceutical technology held in Malta in March last year.

During the awards ceremony held in Goettingen, Germany, Azzopardi and Serracino Inglott were commended on the strong network between the department of pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry and on the significant scientific contributions at the conference made by research groups at the pharmacy department.

Azzopardi and Serracino Inglott accepted the awards on behalf of staff, colleagues, collaborators and students at the University’s Department of Pharmacy.
