It is amazing that our beaches have been declared to be in tip-top condition. Surely this cannot refer to the roads leading to them. For instance, I frequent Armier Bay but the road leading to it is full of potholes.

Since early June I have been sending e-mails to the Mellieha council which managed to clear the rubbish, but not completely.

However, it is good to see that the road is finally being taken care of; it should be ready by winter.

And what about the sea around Magħtab? Surely it is not in tip-top condition for swimming; has this not been made a no-swimming area because of the contamination seeping out from ‘Mount’ Magħtab?
