A meeting was held last week, entitled ‘The recent events in the Arab World – What’s our response as students?’

The meeting, held at the University Greek Theatre, consisted of a discussion between students about how they should react to the recent events in Libya and how they can help.

Students agreed they should show their solidarity with the people in Libya and they are collecting items, such as powdered milk, pork-free canned foods, medicines and blankets, which will be sent to those who require help in Libya.

These donations will be given to Malta Chamber of SMEs (GRTU) and Sanna El-Nahhal on behalf of the Arabic Culture Information Society, two organisations which are coordinating the transportation of emergency items.
