The French Embassy’s Service for Cooperation and Cultural Action is offering grants to help Maltese citizens enrol on training courses in France to enhance their knowledge of French culture and improve their language or teaching skills.

The training courses offered this year are two weeks long and will be held during July and August.

The first course is an intensive French language course for students specialising in the French language, preferably second or third year BA or BA (Hons) students. The second is an intensive course in pedagogical techniques for teachers of French or student teachers, preferably in their final year of studies (B.Ed/PGCE French).

The French Embassy will cover all expenses related to the course and the stay of the candidates in France, excluding airfares.

Candidates are to indicate on application form their preferred language centres after consulting the directory of accredited language centres in France available on www.qualitefle.fr.

Students interested in applying for a grant should complete two copies of the application form and send them to the French Embassy, 130 Melita Street, Valletta, by April 4.

The forms are available at ambafrance-mt.org/france_malte/ spip.php?article386, and from the French Embassy.

Students wishing to further their studies in France may access the website on www.campusfrance.org or contact the embassy for further information and assistance.
