Some 130 Russian workers have been evacuated from Libya and will be brought to Malta on the ferry Sveti Stefan, according to international media reports.

A spokesman for the Russian Emergencies Ministry told Itar-Tass that the ferry is carrying 397 people of various nationalities.

Two Emergencies Ministry planes will fly the Russian workers to Moscow tomorrow.

The ferry is also carrying Turkish citizens who were working in Libya under contracts with the Russian Railways Company.
