The Eritrean Community in Malta is to hold a peaceful demonstration in solidarity with their fellow countrymen who were still in Libya on Thursday afternoon.

The demo will be held in Great Siege Square, Valletta at 2 p.m.

During the demonstration, the community said it will express solidarity with “our brothers and sisters who are still in Libya facing great dangers”.

The community will also read out an open letter to the international community and the Maltese government, explaining what they have heard directly from friends and families in Libya about their situation.
